Lots of families across the UK are making their budgets stretch this year. And with many things costing too much, it can be a burden on some people to worry about the cost of such a wonderful ceremony.

Across all the denominations and church we looked up, none of them have a christening fee. This is true all across England, Ireland and Scotland. Even Canada, Australia and South Africa are like this. This is really good news.

Now of course it is a matter of good taste to donate something to the church – if you can. They gave you a good service and helped you.

And if you want to have a party afterward, you will need to budget in those costs for food and hall rental. If you are really concerned about the costs of the ceremonies, you can have both your babies christened at once. This is acceptable.
